Amy Thielen

Amy Thielen is a two-time James Beard Award-winning food writer. She’s the author of two books — the cookbook The New Midwestern Table and the memoir Give a Girl a Knife. She is at work on a cookbook to be published by W.W. Norton. A former New York City line cook, she was the host of Heartland Table on Food Network and is a contributing editor at Saveur magazine. She lives with her husband, visual artist Aaron Spangler, their son, his dog, and a bunch of chickens, in rural Park Rapids, Minnesota.
