Ryan Vine’s most recent book, The Cave, was named one of the Best Poetry Books of 2025 by the California Review of Books. He’s also the author of To Keep Him Hidden, winner of the Northeastern Minnesota Book Award, and the chapbooks Ward and Distant Engines, winner of a Weldon Kees Award. His poems have appeared in the American Poetry Review, Copper Nickel, Ploughshares, The Southern Review, Poetry Daily, Verse Daily and on National Public Radio’s The Writer’s Almanac. His honors include the Greensboro Review’s Robert Watson Poetry Prize, grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board, and a Walter E. Dakin Fellowship in Poetry from the Sewanee Writers’ Conference. He lives in Duluth, MN, where we was born and raised, and is professor of English at the College of St. Scholastica.
