Sarah Ghazal Ali

Sarah Ghazal Ali is a Pakistani American writer. She is the author of the poetry collection Theophanies, winner of the GLCA New Writers Award and a finalist for the Kate Tufts Discovery Award and Minnesota Book Award. She has been awarded The Sewanee Review Poetry Prize, and her poems have been published in journals and outlets such as The American Poetry Review, The Kenyon Review, and the Academy of American Poets’ Poem-a-Day series. A Stadler and Kundiman Fellow, Ali is the poetry editor for West Branch and an Assistant Professor of English at Macalester College. She lives and teaches in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
