Frank Bures

Frank Bures is an award-winning travel writer and essayist. He is the editor of Under Purple Skies: The Minneapolis Anthology and the author of The Geography of Madness, which was selected by Newsweek as one of the best travel books of the decade. His work has appeared in Harper’s, The Atlantic, Outside, and other places and has been featured in the Best American Travel Writing, the Best American Sports Writing, and the Best American Essays. He was raised in Winona, Minnesota and lives in Minneapolis with his wife and two daughters.
